The Minglanilla Church

The Minglanilla parish was created on October 30, 1857 by Cebu Bishop Romualdo Jimeno. The town, which separated from Naga and Talisay in June 26, 1856, was originally called “Buat” until it was renamed by its first Spanish parish priest, Fr. Fernando Sanchez, from an obscure place in Spain.
